Copenhagen, Denmark— June 23, 2010 — Today, Jabra announced it has been selected as a finalist for the Microsoft Partner Awards in the OEM Hardware Solutions, Device Manufacturing Partner of the Year award category.
“Our collaboration with Microsoft led us to develop a headset that advances unified communications by delivering an industry-leading audio experience,” Niels Jørgensen, Senior Vice President, CC&O division, Jabra. “Being optimized for Microsoft Office Communicator enhances customer value by providing a tested, ergonomically designed audio experience for Microsoft’s voice and conferencing environments.”
Awards will be presented in a number of categories, with winners and finalists chosen from a pool of almost 3,000 entrants worldwide. The OEM Hardware Solutions, Device Manufacturing Partner of the Year Award honors Jabra for delivering superior customer value by designing and developing hardware peripheral and device solutions that use Microsoft technologies.
“Congratulations to the 2010 Partner Award finalists for delivering such creative and superior Microsoft solutions and services,” said Allison Watson, Corporate Vice President, Worldwide Partner Group, Microsoft Corp. “It’s incredible to see the level of expertise our partners continue to exhibit as they create and deliver innovative solutions and services to grow their businesses, meet customer needs, and drive down costs.”
Jabra was selected for its Jabra BIZ 2400, which is optimized for Microsoft Office Communicator. It is the first corded headset to provide multiple device connectivity and telephony convergence managed through a simple click-wheel interface. The user can move seamlessly between mobile phone and the VoIP and Conferencing capabilities of today’s unified communications solutions. The Jabra BIZ 2400 also comes with a three-year warranty as opposed to the industry standard of two, reflecting the durability and quality that is engineered into the headset.
